The free papers chosen for presentation dealt with a variety of interesting subjects representing the different aspects of nuclear medicine.

Inspite of the difficulties imposed by the disturbed economic and surrounding political situation, the meeting was attended by 96  participants (77  Egyptians & 19 expatriates). As usual, our guests from outside Egypt were variable with 1 from Nigeria, 6 from Europe, and 12 from Asia.

Our greatest satisfaction comes from the enthusiastic participation of such a large proportion of the nuclear medicine community with their fruitful discussions. It is also very gratifying to receive so many nice comments from the attendees after their return to their homes, as exemplified by the following comments:

The congress was really outstanding. The site was very nice with superb service. The scientific and educational program was really interesting.

Prof. R. Baum (Germany).

I enjoyed the meeting very much. The chosen speakers were great. The local presentation involved great ideas.

Prof. A.H. El-Gazzar (Kuwait).

In this connection, I wish to record our thanks to everyone who helped in making this meeting succeed. Definitely we cannot overlook the roles of the board of directors, the organizing committee and the secretarial group, as well as Intertours who handled the needed reservations and travel arrangements.

Similarly, we cannot deny the donations offered by the banks specially our official sponsor (Banque du Caire) as well as companies working in the field of nuclear medicine, and which helped us to have such a wonderful meeting.
