The quality and range of matrial submitted to the scientific committee allowed
them to choose for presentation a number of free papers that dealt with a
variety of interesting and timely subjects dealing with different aspects of
nuclear medicine.
The second day of the meeting was also notable for our annual gala dinner which
was held this year after sunset in a novel setting deep in the heart of the
desert. The magnificent oriental atmosphere with the bonfires along the hill
side caves proved to be truly unforgettable.
We have come to except a large turnout for our meeting, and this year was no exception. The number of participants was 115, (91 Egyptians, and 24
expatriates). As usual, our guests from outside Egypt were a truly international
delegation, with 10 participants from Asia, 12 from Europe, and 2 Americans.
Our greatest satisfaction comes from the enthusiastic participation of such a
large proportion of the nuclear medicine community, and their animated and
fruitful discussions in practically all the sessions. It is also very gratifying
to receive so many nice comments from the attendees after their return home.
With your support, we hope the annual meeting will continue to be such a great
success for many years to come.
Herewith are some examples of the received comments :

In this connection I would love to record our thanks to everyone who took part
in making this meeting happen and succeed. Definitely we cannot overlook the
roles of the board of directors, the organizing committee and the secretarial
group, as well as Intertours who handled the needed reservations and travel
arrangements. Similarly, we cannot deny the donations offered by the banks and
companies working in the field of nuclear medicine, and which helped us to have
such a wonderful meeting.
